BHOPAL: The Bharatiya Janata party has maintained its grip on the urban and semi-urban areas of Madhya Pradesh in the recently concluded civic elections. The ruling party has been able to secure control over a majority of the Municipal Corporations, Municipal committees and Nagar Panchayats, polling for which was held in two phases on December 11 and 14. The results were announced on December 18.
